Amazon.co.uk Review
Hidden in the depths of the galaxy, Star Wars legend Luke Skywalker has set up a school for promising young Jedi. When a ship of incoming students crash lands, you'd be right to suspect something wasn't right. Five minutes later, you'd be absolutely certain, as Jedi Academy throws you straight into a PC first-person action extravaganza, with much light-sabre waving to be done.

After some initial training, the academy forms a base from which various missions are launched across the galaxy. There are ample opportunities to visit familiar places from the classic Star Wars galaxy and to meet some familiar faces along the way. There are numerous levels and quests, and each one requires a cocktail of action, guile and a bit of common sense--oh, and the occasional Jedi mind trick. These levels are pleasantly challenging and mighty good fun to play.

You can call on a broad arsenal of weapons--with the light sabre available right from the start--and as you progress, you must build up your Force skills, which will ultimately help you out of many a sticky spot.

If you can overlook the very occasional lapse in enemy AI, and just let the sky-high production values soak in, the game proves to be cracking entertainment. Arguably it doesn't move the whole formula forwards a great deal, but you get a thumpingly good game backed up with strong multi-player options. --Simon Brew

5 out of 5 stars Star Wars..   July 5, 2010
J. Higgins (England)
One of the best Star Wars games ever, the graphics aren't to good but you can expect that it's quite old now. The gamepaly though, well that's another thing. You start off straight from the start with a light-sabre, people who have played Jedi Outcast will know it's annoying to start with guns when all you want is the glowing stick. The story is great and action packed and you see famous Star Wars characters such as Luke Skywalker, Kyle Katarn (The person you play in outcast) etc.

The amazing thing is, hundreds of people still play online, this game still offers plenty more hours of game play online after you have finished the amazing single player experience. Well worth getting, considering how cheap it is now.

5 out of 5 stars Fun and learning all the way   June 11, 2010

I bought this game for my 14 year old autistic son as his latest obsession is Star Wars. He also suffers from mild ADHD and having this game continues to help him with increasing his concentration levels.

5 out of 5 stars Brilliant Game!   April 15, 2010

Jedi Academy has got to be one of the best classic Star Wars games ever made, for a number of reasons.
You can play it over and over again and not get bored, althogh the levels are the same, it's like a diffrent experience every time.
The graphics are quite good considering it came out in 2003, id probably give them a 7/10.
I acually bought this game a long time ago, but I wanted to play it recently and found out that I'd lost the disk, but because it's such a good game I thought I'd buy it again.
It was the right decision, definitely.
You can also get modifications for the game as well from diffrent sites, witch spice it up a bit.
I'd recommend this game to anyone who is a fan of Star Wars and third and first person shooters.
Overall a great game.
9/10
