Worms (PC CD)

Oh dear. I played it for three hours after my daughter went to bed on the first day we got it and it's been a lurking presence on my PC ever since. Graphically it's hopeless, the video clips don't play, and the sound belongs to a "pre-soundblaster" era altogether, but boy! this is addictive. I particularly enjoy the fact that you can rename the various teams to suit (boss, managers, friends, enemies, family members etc) and enjoy blasting their worm doppelgangers to bits with uzis, rockets, airstrikes and exploding sheep.

Buy this at your peril; but for 80 pence on here you'd have to find a pretty good excuse!

A great game with hours of fun secretly bundled in. Bit of a shame the there's no level editor and any weapons to download but thats only fair I suppose. Apart from that kids will enjoy blowing up their Dad's team and Dad blowing up the kids even more!!!

Worms has always been a game that appealed to most people because of its novelty, and it certainly has alot of that. The weapons that can be utilised range from the boring bazooka to the almost divine concrete donky. This is a great game to play when you have lots of friends over, but the single player experiance is not quite as good because of poor enemy AI. Get this only if you have alot of friends. Its a great party game and will cause alot of funny incidents. Overall, a very good game - especially in multiplayer mode.
