I don't truly understand why is this game rated so low. Reason why I will write this my first short review on Amazon. I have played many strategy games and I can say I have spent days and days hooked on this one, in different moments in time. I have had this game for a long time, and I come back to it regularly. It is said that you cannot control anything on your businesses, but I think the problem might be more that there is so much to explore in the game as per options, possible strategies, etc. You can play it also online! As per previous review's text, I have to say that you can certainly determine the price of your products, affect to the cost of resources (the ones you buy no, but you can produce them, and you can change the cost of manufacturing by spending less in training and getting less employees, for example, with the logical consequences...), etc. You can advertise too. In summary, just to get to see some of the possibilities offered, you will really need more than the suggested couple of days.

I also loved Airline tycoon and the Hospital Theme one (apart from all the historical ones I have played for ages), but I can tell you this has been one of my number ones all the time.

Give it a try with 4 cities and 7 competitors if you think this is boring!

2 out of 5 stars Well hyped game that has the basics but not all there!   January 10, 2004

When I saw this game I thought great a true business game that will be great to play.

I loaded it up and the graphics are really good and there are many many products you can make and sell from Coca-cola to Tv's and even cars. You can make the game as difficult or as easy as you want as you can choose to have one type of shop that sells it all or speciality shops.

Where the game does fall short is the control you have over your shops and factories. For example, in Industry Giant you control pay and output and prices. Here nothing seems to impact on the sales your shops have and its just generate by the computer!

Overall, I would say yes play it for teh first couple of days and you will be really happy but as the weeks pass you will get bored with it! Hope this was some help!

This game allows your to build and control a business
empire. As your business grows the game throws in events
that can affect your business. You also design and produce new prooduts through the R&D department. all in all this game is fun and realistic i will certainly buying the sequel if there is one. One of the best business stratagy games on the market.
