Worthy Expansion!!!! July 20, 2010 SouthCoastJam I played Lord Of The Rings Online (LOTRO) when it was first released in the UK and Europe. After a few months I found myself drawn back to World Of Warcraft, all my online friends and contacts played WoW.....even my wife. However don't take this a sign that LOTRO is a bad game....far from it...is got to be 1 of the best mmorpg i've played. It just lacked a solid player base.
I recently returned to LOTRO and found the game alive and kicking...with an establish player base. Great graphics, solid gameplay and none of the attitude I found that plague WoW. I wish I'd stuck with the game from release and enjoyed the improvements the developers have employed to greatly increase the whole feel and gameplay XP.
Mines Of Moria is a worthly expansion. The increase in level cap and content adds to an already impressive game...couple this with the addition of 2 new classes (Warden & Runekeeper) and I can truly say that my days as a Warcraft player are finally over.
Recently a new expansion has become available, which can be downloaded from the LOTRO website. Once again I look forward to reaching the new content. The developers have recently announced the LOTRO will be 'Free 2 Play' in the the latter part of 2010. If you are a Tolkien fan then you should really play this game...as the world follows the books and not the films.....if you are a Warcraft player then give LOTRO a go...it'll be worth it.
Overall:- Very good and impressive.
More of Moria June 14, 2010 Guidion LoTRO This addon to LoTRO has to be one of the best so far, I have been chewed, bitten and spat out by all kinds of new mobs... I have to yet experience Mirkwood but looking forward to it...
Bring it on...
A must-have for LoTRO lovers March 2, 2010 A. C. Delso An essential upgrade for the Online Game of the Year - Lord of the Rings Online: Shadows of Angmar.
New classes, better Quests, higher levelling, new Crafting possibilities and masses more territory.
I have still to actually enter the Mines of Moria because the content added to the original game is so absorbing!
Brilliant.
used is worthless August 25, 2009 C. Dickins 0 out of 9 found this review helpful
This game has an activation code to be entered online in order to unlock it. This only works with one user. So a 'used' copy - like the one I bought - will not work on your machine.
I'm sure the game is excellent - but I haven't been able to play it yet!
Can't keep off it! August 11, 2009 Teresa Sinclair (uk) As an mmo this is superb and on a 24" monitor on a fast gfx card, Rivendell is just mesmerising.
IT has some really odd ways of updating, there is boring grind and some of the quests are difficult to recruit for as they are not the latest, but overall it is a hell of an experience and i haven't touched another pc game since i installed this. Guess only Star Trek has the possibility of knocking this off!
