Amazon.co.uk Review Requiring a copy of the original Sim City 4 to play, Rush Hour does something a little different for an expansion pack, with some quality ideas on top of the expected enhancements. Firstly, there's the traditional stuff. You get lots of new buildings, structures and such like to play with. There are more natural disasters you need to deal with, from police chases right down to alien invasions. And then there are more transportation tools as well, based on real-life systems across several American cities. All of these add significantly to your building palette, and justify the price of the expansion pack alone. But there are yet more surprising additions: the U-Drive in particular is great fun, allowing you to take full control over a vehicle such as a helicopter or ambulance and make your way through the city you built. It adds a genuinely fresh perspective to the game, whether you choose to go on a journey for leisure or strategic purposes. So too do little details such as personalising the signposting of your city, be it to name the odd street or to mark future development. The devil in Sim City has always been in the detail, and Rush Hour is packed with cool little extras like these. There are aren't many gripes: a powerful PC is recommended to get the most out of the pack, and you're not going to find every addition here useful. Nonetheless, full credit is due for an expansion pack that genuinely enhances the game it complements. --Simon Brew

SimCity 4: Rush Hour Could Be Better December 3, 2009 A. J. Alves (Portugal) SimCity 4: Rush Hour Expansion Pack (PC CD)Labels and signs could be more flexible.
For instance labels could have base different base colours and could be stretchable.
And signs could have different colours and the text could be editable with the arrows cursor.
sim city 4 rush hour September 29, 2009 Mr. Dean C. Kenny (Mancheser) Ok but in my view the additions in the game is not worth the money i paid for the game.
A very good expansion February 19, 2006 YaromCMG (Milton Keynes) 3 out of 3 found this review helpful
If you like sim city 4, this is a must have expansion. It not only provides further transport and buidling options, but allows you to interact with the game by driving through the streets or flying over your city in a helicopter either in freestyle or as part of a mission in which you can unlock further items. This allows you to see the city close up and see how easy or difficult it is to drive through your masterpiece.

Sim City 4 Rush Hour (Installation Problems) September 13, 2005 3 out of 30 found this review helpful
I installed the update to Sim City 4 without any problems!. After shutting down antivirus anti spyware etc. programs I tried installing the Rush Hour expansion. It would not recognise the authentication number I entered!. I phoned EA on 0870 2432435 and after answering a few questions (including what is the number on the Rush Hour Disk? -very small number dificult to read with my weak eyesight), I was given a new authentication number (be careful when writing down 5's or S's you can easily confuse them), I entered that and Rush Hour installed (and worked) perfectly!. I then downloaded and tried to instal the Rush Hour update. That couldn't find the files it wanted to update. So I decided to run the update straight from the web site, it then installed perfectly!.I haven't actually had a chance to play Rush Hour yet, but with so many extra features (to SC4) it's got to be worth the price!. Hope this has been helpful to some!.
