I don't care how old it is this is brilliant! I must admit I never installed the expansion packs though, the original game is great as it is!

I have been a fan of the Roller Coaster Tycoon games for years now, and have had RCT2 for a long time, but noticed this deluxe edition for a very cheap price.
The basic concept of the game is you build, run and maintain a theme park in varied terrain. You can build rides, shops, hire staff to clean up, look after rides, design your own scenery etc. Each park is a scenario giving you different objectives in each, such as getting a certain amount of guests and having a certain park rating by the end of a year.
The add on packs add to this already great game, by giving even more parks, rides, scenery items and shops.
The game in general offers some pretty good graphics for a 2D game, rollercoasters have a realistic appearance as do shops.
Although this is an old game now, and has been replaced by the 3D RCT3 it still is a very addictive game and will offer you hours and hours of enjoyment.

If you like me, loved rollercoaster tycoon 1 then you will love this new installment. Its got the same graphics and gameplay but with better stablility and a massive increase in maps and rides.
This game also has a map editor so you can create your own perfect park!

Of the three Rollercoaster Tycoon series available in my opinion 2 is the best. I have reated this as 5 stars as I can't fault this package, the Rollercoaster Tycoon game alone is so addictive, but to add two expansion expansion packs is undoubtedly great value and keeps the fun going. As well as getting RCT2 this pack includes Wacky Worlds and time twister with loads of new scenarios to stave off any boredom (lol). Lovers of any of the other Tycoon strategy games I'm sure will love this one too. Rollercoaster Tycoon 2 is a game that is intuitive and a one most people can relate to and have fun. Rollercoaster Tycoon is easy to undertand and with a little practice you'll soon be on your way to spending days playing this. The 'games' are scenarios that you are given to complete. You have an objective and a timescale and with good money management and a marketing strategy they are not too difficult to achieve. If you want to take on an extra challenge you can build your own rollercoasters from scratch - I personally preferred to use the ready made layouts, but that's just my preference. Overall the quality of these games is excellent. If you purchase this package I'm sure you'll be hooked into buying Rollercoaster Tycoon 3 (although i found the extra features in the newer version to be unnecessary and added complications that put me off somewhat, not to mention I had to upgrade my PC to play 3). This would be suitable I would say from teenager to adult and will provide hours of entertainment.

Yeah someone when nuts here and it is great...With new themed parks and interesting rides, this is a fun and exciting game to play... Was does fustrate me sometimes it just finding space in a lot of the parks to build...many are very small and cluttered causing some fustration...appart from that its great...i recommend it
