 Great fun, especially the extras June 18, 2010

My boys (aged 9 and 4) love this game and would play it every spare moment if they were given the chance. Setting up your own zoo and having all your favourite animals is a real buzz, and when you have progressed far enough, you get 'new' animals, such as Yetis and unicorns. You have to have enough keepers to ensure they can help sick animals, maintain their enclosures (picking up poo etc!) and keep your guests happy. All round good game!

Really enjoyed this game hours of complex fun, you'd need to be an adult to compleate all the stages, quite hard to finish but really loved it. I purchased the 2nd Zoo Tycoon not so good, too into the graphics and over thought..... this format is much more enjoyable.

I work in a primary school with year 1 and year 2 children. At certain points in the week we use this game with the children and they absolutely love it! They work in pairs and we have a competition going to see which pair make the most money by the end of the term. The game improves their reading skills and IT skills tremendously, whilst giving them an insight into how to care for animals without them even realising it. My 9 year old son also loves it. I would thoroughly recommend this to anyone with primary school aged children. (I would add though, that at the age of 38 I struggle with it!!)
